We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to fill a full-time Long-Term Occasional SK Teacher position from November 2026 to June 2027. Responsibilities: Teaching Senior Kindergarten in a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment Communicating effectively with students, orally and in writing with parents, and working collaboratively with other teachers Using observation, documentation, and assessment to support individual student growth and learning Preparing and delivering play-based and inquiry-driven programming aligned with the Ontario curriculum Participating in staff meetings, professional development days, and educational conferences Ensuring the classroom environment is safe, healthy, and supportive for all students Contributing actively to the broader RHA school community Skills, Experience and Attributes: Experience teaching in an Early Childhood or Kindergarten setting Proven success in classroom management with young learners Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Ability to set priorities and respond to the dynamic needs of young children Hebrew language proficiency at a level sufficient to speak and instruct in Hebrew within an SK classroom is required Experience in a Jewish day school setting is an asset Technology Skills: Competence with Google Workspace and student information systems Education: OCT certification required Bachelor's degree Job Type: Full-time, Long-Term Occasional (November 2026 to June 2027) Work Location: On-site / In person Ability to Commute: York ON M5P 3K3 Located on the TTC bus route #7 and within walking distance to both St. Clair and Eglinton Subway lines All applicants must have a current vulnerable sector Police record check. Applicants must have OCT certification, a bachelor's degree, and Hebrew proficiency sufficient to speak and teach in Hebrew in an SK classroom. Experience teaching young learners, strong classroom management and communication skills, organization, and teamwork are required; Jewish day school experience is an asset, and a current vulnerable sector police record check is required.
