Job summary
Our client is a well-established, privately held construction company based on the North Shore — with a strong reputation built over decades across residential and commercial projects throughout BC. We're seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial leadership and support a group of companies, partnering with senior management to drive progressive financial performance. Responsibilities: Oversee accounting operations for all five operating entities. Manage monthly, quarterly, and year end close procedures. Ensure accurate recording of revenue, costs, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intercompany accounts. Oversee AP and AR processes across five entities Monitor cash requirements across all entities and projects. Ensure timely processing and payment of subcontractors, supplies and other vendors. Monitor collections, aged receivables, and customer accounts. Coordinate annual budgets across all five operating entities. Support year-end audit, including preparation of working papers, analysis, and other required support. Establish controls over intercompany transactions between the multiple entities. Help mitigate financial, contractual, fraud and reporting risks. Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian and BC accounting, tax and reporting requirements. Requirements: CPA 3+ years within construction industry Supervisory experience is a nice to have Familiarity with Acumatica is an asset
