Our client is a well-established transportation and service-based organization seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive profitability, and support the continued growth of the business. Reporting directly to ownership, the General Manager will oversee all aspects of the organization, including operations, financial performance, employee leadership, customer relationships, compliance, contract management, and business development. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all day-to-day business operations. Drive operational efficiency, service quality, and profitability. Oversee hiring, performance management, employee relations, and team development. Manage key customer relationships and ensure exceptional service delivery. Review job profitability, financial performance, budgets, and operational costs. Approve payroll, accounts payable, and operational expenditures. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, insurance requirements, and safety standards. Review and negotiate contracts, service agreements, and vendor relationships. Manage subcontractors and external service providers. Identify and pursue opportunities for sales growth and operational improvements. Support the team where needed and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration. Qualifications 7+ years of senior leadership experience within transportation, logistics, fleet management, field services, municipal services, or a related industry. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, and operational performance. Proven ability to lead teams and manage employee relations. Experience overseeing customer relationships and contract-based services. Knowledge of transportation compliance, commercial insurance, and safety requirements. Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Hands-on leadership style with an entrepreneurial mindset. Why Join?
