About the Role We are actively hunting for a skilled, self-motivated Journeyperson Electrician to lead by example on our large-scale multi-family residential and apartment builds across Winnipeg. In this role, you will be the backbone of our job sites—running complex installations, reading master schematics, ensuring code compliance, and mentoring the next generation of apprentices. We want a pro who takes pride in clean work and is looking to step up into management. Key Responsibilities System Layout & Installation: Lead the installation, rough-in, and trim-out of electrical systems for large apartment complexes, common spaces, parkades, and main electrical rooms. Blueprint Mastery: Read and accurately interpret complex blueprints, architectural drawings, and schematics to map out efficient electrical layouts. Technical Execution & Troubleshooting: Use advanced tools and diagnostic gear to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve complex electrical or low-voltage control issues on site. Mentorship & Collaboration: Provide guidance to Level 2-4 apprentices, collaborate effectively with other trades, and ensure project phases are completed safely and on schedule. Code & Safety Ownership: Ensure all work flawlessly complies with the Manitoba Electrical Code and provincial safety standards, keeping job sites safe and organized. What We’re Looking For The Experience: Proven experience running residential, commercial, or industrial electrical projects. A solid background in multi-family wood-frame or concrete builds is a massive asset. Technical Savvy: Deep knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and low-voltage systems (lighting controls, smart systems, etc.). Leadership Mindset: Someone who can work independently, solve problems on the fly, and step up to lead a crew when the opportunity arises. What You’ll Need Certification: Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification (Red Seal or equivalent).
