Strong understanding of Model Risk Management principles, including model development, independent validation, model tiering, and ongoing monitoring in accordance with regulatory expectations. Experience with large-scale data migration projects, including data analysis, mapping, and validation, ideally involving model inventory or risk data. Overview We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join the Model Risk Management (MRM) team and play a key role in the development and enhancement of a new, unified platform for the Risk organization. The Business Analyst will serve as a critical conduit between MRM business stakeholders and technology teams, translating high-level business needs into detailed, actionable requirements. The role will support a robust, scalable, and compliant platform covering model inventory management, validation lifecycle, findings tracking, approval workflows, and ongoing monitoring. The successful candidate will collaborate with model owners, model validators, business users, Product Owners, QA teams, technology partners, and senior MRM leadership to define requirements, decompose Epics into user stories, document current and future-state processes, and validate delivered solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of MRM governance and regulatory expectations, including SR 11-7 and SS1/23, as well as the ability to ensure that platform functionality supports consistent workflows across model tiers. Job Duties Collaborate with Model Risk, model owners, model validators, business users, and dependent technology teams to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements aligned with MRM policies and governance standards. Work with the Product Owner to decompose high-level Epics into actionable user stories with comprehensive acceptance criteria covering model inventory management, validation lifecycle, and findings tracking workflows. Document current-state and future-state workflows for model development, independent validation, approval, and ongoing monitoring. Identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement to support a single, unified MRM workflow across all model tiers. Partner with QA to develop detailed test cases and scenarios for MRM workflows, including model submission, validation findings, and approval routing. Participate in testing to confirm that implemented solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
