The Body Shop Prepper/Painter is required to perform tasks in the repair of vehicles and reports to the Body Shop Supervisor. This is a full-time day shift position from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm at our Brantford location at 6 Edmondson St., Brantford, ON N3R 7J3. Responsibilities Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy. Removes, replaces interiors, trims, and accessories to gain access to damaged areas. Removes dents and repairs damaged surfaces or replaces damaged parts. Works with boy fillers, glazes, primers, and other painting materials. Grinds, files, sands, welds, and refinishes surfaces. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Comply with all relevant Health and Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures. Other mechanical repair work as required. Basic Qualifications Auto body repair certificate would be considered an asset 3 to 5 years of experience in body work maintenance, paint and prep procedures are required. Experience with sanding, buffing and polishing body panels. Work with a team and or independently and follow instructions. High school diploma Criminal Record Check Driver's Abstract Work Conditions Physical ability to lift up to 50lb. Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc. Overtime as required. Hazards associated with the trade. Exposure to loud noises. Work both indoors and outdoors.
