We are looking for a Lot Attendant for our Idealease Mississauga location at 425 Gibraltar Dr, Mississauga, ON L5T 2S9. This is a full-time permanent position. Reporting to the Rental Manager, this position is responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs to all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy. Compare serial numbers of incoming trucks against invoice. · Perform a daily yard check every morning of all new, used and Idealease units. · Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment. · Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt. · Park new vehicles in assigned areas. Maintain yard so that vehicles remain in designated areas. · Catalog and store keys with Sales Administration. · Install/Remove License Plates as requested · Following a sale, re-park the vehicle to maximize use of space, and keep the lot in order. · Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department. · Clean and prepare new units for customer delivery. · Clean and prepare Rental and Lease units for delivery to customers. · Make sure all relevant documents are in the rental trucks and are up to date (current), including plate stickers are valid · Note any damages found when washing and cleaning rental units. · Fuel the rental trucks and top up fluids as needed. · Clean and prepare Used Trucks for sale. · Assist as needed to take all appropriate pictures of vehicles designated to be sold. · Keep yard organized and tidy; organize the trucks in the yard so that rental units, new vehicles and used vehicles are kept in their designated locations · Responsible for managing and starting all trucks on a regular basis when they are parked and not moved for more than a week · Comply with all relevant Health and Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures. · Follow Company Health & Safety Rules and Polices – outlined in the Health & Safety Manual. Report any health and safety concerns to the Service manager or Joint Health & Safety Committee. · Maintain a safe and clean work environment. · Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment. · Other related duties as assigned by management from time to time Basic Qualifications Good communication skills and work attitude Valid Driver's License and a good driving record is an asset Criminal Record Check Driver's Abstract AZ/DZ License is an asset We Offer the following Benefits Competitive wages Comprehensive Group Insurance Benefit Plan including employer paid medical, vision and dental plans.
