Job ID: 26-24821 Job Title: UX Designer Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Duration: 162 Business Days with possible extension Client: Public Sector Pay Rate: CAD $70 per hour Role Overview This is an Intermediate UX Designer role focused on designing and improving user experiences for public-facing digital products. You’d be responsible for creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, information architecture, and service blueprints, using tools like Figma and Miro, while conducting user research and usability testing to iterate on designs. The role also involves working closely with Product Owners, developers, business stakeholders, and other UX team members in an Agile/Scrum environment. A strong focus is placed on mobile-first/responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), established design systems, stakeholder presentations, and Service Design, with experience across the Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live phases being a strong advantage. A portfolio link is required with the resume. Must Have: Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design. Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently. 3+ years of relevant experience in participating in complex projects (products) of different sizes, ensuring alignment to plans, best practices and incorporating user-centred design processes and agile (scrum) methodologies. Must have Figma experience. Expertise in UX software such as JustInMind, InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, and Zeplin. HTML5, CSS3, and JS skills (React, Angular, NodeJS), Azure DevOps are a plus. Strong communication skills - lead meeting and present to stakeholders. Prior experience with Service Design framework and established design systems. Role and responsibilities. Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces. Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing. Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required. Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs.
