Role Description The Installation Technician – Home Security Fortification is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This position is responsible for installing, configuring, and testing home security systems, including cameras, sensors, alarms, and related hardware, according to established standards and client requirements. Daily tasks include running and organizing cabling, performing system checks, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and documenting work performed. The technician will interact with clients on-site to explain system features, answer questions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The role also involves collaborating with team members, following safety protocols, and maintaining tools and equipment in good working order. Qualifications Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with security systems and related hardware. Proficiency in cabling, wiring, and basic networking practices for residential installations. Excellent communication abilities and a commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently on-site. Previous experience in home security, electrical, or low-voltage installations is an asset. Ability to lift and carry equipment, use ladders safely, and work in various residential environments. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to client locations in Toronto, ON. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics, security systems, or a related field is preferred.
