The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments. You will perform various operations related to metallurgical processes on landing gear components. More Specifically, You Will Be Required To prepare and assemble parts, perform heat treatment or shot peening operations, conduct laboratory tests (hardness, tensile, saturation), perform inspections using non-destructive testing (magnetic testing) detect and resolve technical issues, carry out visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation, contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and achieving objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries Let's Talk About You College studies in metallurgy (DEC or AEC) or DEP in foundry, DEP in mechanical assembly in aerospace or in structural assembly in aerospace, DEP in welding-assembly or equivalent experience as a metallurgy operator Experience in metallurgy Basic computer knowledge Attention to detail / Rigor Analytical mindset Initiative Autonomy Organizational skills / Priority management Results-oriented We apply an equal employment opportunity program and encourage women, Indigenous peoples, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities to apply. (benefits, specifics, …) Night shift, Monday to Friday from 12:10 AM to 6:40 AM Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (evening, night, or weekend) The salary for this position starts between $31.18 and $45.12 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
