Job summary
Account Executive | Montreal, QC | Hybrid (4 days/week in office) Our client sits at an intersection few others occupy: a living, physical product paired with a data platform, sold to the people who own and operate some of the largest commercial real estate portfolios in North America. They work with institutional investors, REITs, and asset managers to turn urban biodiversity into a tenant experience and a sustainability story that holds up in a board meeting as much as it does on the rooftops of their clients' office buildings. Organizations like Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Manulife work with them because of the value to their company cultures and the environment. Following a successful refocusing on commercial real estate, the company is scaling their mid-market and institutional sales motion. They are looking for an Account Executive to own the sales cycle from discovery through close with institutional investors, REITs, and regional or national portfolio owners. This is a chance to build within a proven business rather than start one from scratch. What the role owns The full mid-market sales cycle, from discovery to signed contract, with institutional and REIT accounts Multithreaded relationships across property operators, sustainability leads, and asset managers, anchoring conversations in financial outcomes (NOI, cap rates, TI allowances) Portfolio expansion: turning a single-property win into a national account with global territory Who we're looking for 2+ years of closing experience in SaaS, or an adjacent field such as IoT/embedded software with both a hardware and software component Candidates from other backgrounds (professional services, for example) are also a fit if the role involved a strong storytelling component Prior experience in a scaling company of 50-500 employees Comfort learning three fields at once: biodiversity and urban sustainability, commercial real estate, and ESG reporting Based in Montreal, able to visit a beautiful downtown Montreal office four days per week (Mon-Thu); travel to client sites roughly once per quarter Comfortable in a sales cycle with no fixed territory: accounts are built through your own initiative Bonus points for Fluency in both English and French Personal, educational, or professional background in biodiversity or biology Experience selling into commercial real estate What the opportunity offers $70,000 base + $60,000 variable, $130,000 OTE, uncapped commission Commission starts at 7.5% and rises to 10% at higher performance, paid out the month after close Performance points system presents regular opportunities to increase your base salary throughout the year (10%, then 12%, then 15%) on top of semi-annual reviews that can add another 2.5%-5% Health, dental, and vision benefits starting day one, plus telehealth resources Unlimited PTO, with a 4-week minimum Catered lunch 3 days/week in the office Interested candidates, please note: Our team checks for new applicants every day and while we would love to be able to engage with each of you personally, given the high volume of applicants we receive, we are only able to contact candidates who are best suited for this role.
