EMPLOYER: Northland Properties Corporation (NPC) LOCATION: Support Centre, Vancouver, BC EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Co-Op HOURLY RATE: $18.50-21.00/hour About The Role We’re looking for an IT Co-Op Student to join our IT team. This is a hands-on role for a student who is currently enrolled in a relevant Computer Science or Information Technology program and eager to gain practical, real-world experience working alongside our IT team. This is a great opportunity for a student who wants to build hands-on technical experience, work on projects with real business impact, and learn directly from experienced IT professionals in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment. What You’ll Do Core Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day IT support tickets, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues Help maintain and document systems, equipment inventory, or configurations Support setup and deployment of new devices, software, or tools for staff Escalate and track issues through to resolution alongside senior IT staff Additional Responsibilities Assist with a defined project such as a system migration, tool rollout, or process documentation Research and help evaluate tools, platforms, or vendors relevant to the project Prepare summaries, documentation, or reports for the IT team Test and provide feedback on new systems or workflows before wider rollout Collaboration & Learning Work closely with IT staff and cross-functional teams to understand how the department supports the business Participate in team meetings, check-ins, and learning opportunities Ask questions, share ideas, and bring a fresh perspective to existing processes What We’re Looking For Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or Information Technology program, working toward a co-op or internship requirement Previous general work experience OR relevant coursework, projects, or prior work experience in IT, software development, or a related field Genuine interest in learning about IT Helpdesk, Operations, Project Management, Security and other IT team functions; and how it supports the business Comfortable learning new tools and systems quickly, and asking questions when unsure Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working with some ambiguity Preferred Certifications / Coursework Computer Science or Information Technology Program IT Security or Cyber Security Program Project Management or Business Analysis Program At Northland Properties Corporation (NPC), we are committed to building a network of talented professionals who can help to provide exceptional hospitality experiences.
