Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team at the Northland Support Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple locations and pay groups across North America. This includes administering audits, responding to queries, reconciling data, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal standards. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Administration Perform bi-weekly and weekly payroll pre-commit audits for all pay groups. Enter and approve Quick Entry (QE) forms in the Payroll Import Tool (PIT) for processing in Ceridian Dayforce. Conduct payroll data reviews for discrepancies, such as negative balances or rate mismatches. Coordinate manual check imports, off-cycle requests, ROEs, and stop payment cases with Ceridian. Audit & Compliance Audit Dayforce Timesheets and cohesion imports; reconcile variances between systems. Review negative YTD balances and process adjustments accordingly. Investigate unusual transactions such as invalid payouts or duplicate entries. Communication & Support Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries via email and Microsoft Teams. Liaise with HR teams to correct employee data issues and pay group assignments. Respond to Service Canada and Ceridian cases, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Reporting & Analysis Prepare and review payroll reports including PIER, GL journal entries, and earnings summaries. Assist with data reconciliation between Dayforce and third-party systems like Cohesion. Support quarterly and year-end processes, including calendar setup and discrepancy resolutions. Project Support & Training Participate in configuration and implementation of new pay codes, rules, and holiday policies. Support wage updates, minimum wage adjustments, and annual increases. Contribute to audits (e.g., PWC, Texas Mutual Workers' Comp) and training material preparation for payroll and HR teams. Other Duties Process final payouts for retiring or departing salaried managers (e.g., vacation, RRSP, etc.). Coordinate with multiple internal teams and Ceridian Managed Services to resolve issues. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Payroll Manager. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of payroll administration experience; Ceridian Dayforce experience strongly preferred. PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation or working toward completion is an asset. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation across multiple jurisdictions (Canada and U.S.). Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage tight deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Dayforce, and Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse teams. Submission of resume does not guarantee an interview or transfer.
