Job summary
Purpose Of Position To perform diagnostic non- invasive Cardiology tests and other designated duties. Duties Perform Cardiac Stress Testing. Perform ECG Testing and Holter Monitoring. Operate Holter Scanner. Clean and maintain equipment, to ensure readiness. Transfer exams to Philips iECG Management system. Promote professionalism within the Department with particular emphasis in confidentiality, personal appearance and teamwork. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited CardioVascular Technology Program Certification or eligibility for certification with Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) Experience Knowledge in the use of: Electrocardiograph units Cardiac Stress testing units Holter Monitor Holter Scanner Skill/Ability Customer service, interpersonal and telephone skills. Human relations skills including empathy, sensitivity, understanding of human and organizational behavior, motivational techniques and counseling skills (e.g. teaching patients). Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a team member in a fast paced environment in stressful situations. Ability to organize time effectively to perform the duties of the position. Ability to meet and interact with people in a pleasant, professional, responsible and reassuring manner. Ability to maintain successful working relationships with the interdisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes. Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment. Behaviour consistent with Hospital Mission, Values and Standards of Performance. Ability to read, write and communicate to perform the duties of the position.
