Introduction Scotia Wealth Management is looking for a Manager, Business Initiatives to support the planning and execution of key real estate, facilities, and business initiatives across the Canadian Real Estate portfolio for Scotia Wealth Management and MD. This role is ideal for a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, managing competing priorities, and partnering with stakeholders to enhance the employee, advisor, and client experience. What You'll Be Doing Lead and support real estate programs, capital projects, facilities, and physical security initiatives for offices across Canada. Manage the planning, delivery, and execution of business initiatives, including the SWM Small Projects Program. Oversee budgets, financial analysis, real estate analytics, workplace strategy, Health and Safety, Business Continuity Planning, and enterprise security documentation. Partner with internal teams including Real Estate, Legal and Compliance, Finance, Technology, Security, and regional leadership to deliver initiatives on time. Build strong relationships with external facilities and physical security partners, including BGIS. Support intake, triage, prioritization, and timely resolution of requests through a group mailbox. Contribute to effective business controls, risk management, operational excellence, and an inclusive, high-performance environment. DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS? Bachelor’s degree, with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in real estate strategy, facilities management, business administration, commercial management, or project management. 3 to 5 years of experience leading and managing a team. Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, capital planning, facilities operations, and real estate strategy. Experience managing external vendor relationships and working with cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing needs, and use sound judgment in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, with limited domestic travel and rotational 24/7 response to physical security emergency situations.
