Screwy Louie’s also designs and installs roll shutters, security screens, and window bar systems tailored to each client’s needs. Role Description The Window & Door Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in La Crete, AB. This role involves installing, repairing, and servicing residential and commercial windows and doors, including hardware, seals, screens, and glass units. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing issues with doors and windows, performing adjustments, measuring and preparing materials, and assisting with board-up and security enhancements such as shutters and security screens. The Window & Door Tech will work closely with the locksmithing and glazing teams, follow safety protocols, maintain tools and equipment, and interact professionally with customers on-site. Occasional emergency or after-hours work may be required to support urgent service calls. Qualifications Experience with window and door installation, repair, and servicing, including hardware adjustments and basic glazing work would be considered an asset. Ability to safely use hand and power tools, measure and cut materials accurately, and follow technical instructions or drawings. Knowledge of or willingness to learn about security products such as roll shutters, security screens, and window bar systems. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, work respectfully with diverse clients, and represent the company professionally on-site. Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift moderate weights, work on ladders, and perform tasks indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites in Mackenzie County and surrounding areas. Previous experience in glazing, locksmithing, carpentry, or building maintenance is an asset but not required; on-the-job training may be provided. Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.
