StandardAero is seeking a skilled Structures Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs, modifications, and maintenance on aerospace components in accordance with technical data, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts)
What You’ll Do
- Inspect, repair, and modify aircraft structures and components.
- Interpret and work from technical manuals, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools specific to aerospace structural work.
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with quality and safety standards. Collaborate with team members to meet turnaround times and customer requirements.
What Skills You'll need
- Experience in metal fabrication, precision sheet metal work, or structural repair experience in other industries (e.g., automotive, heavy equipment, manufacturing etc.) are encouraged to apply, provided they have transferable skills and a willingness to train in aerospace standards.
- Strong knowledge of structural repair techniques, materials, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with tools and equipment commonly used in aerospace structures repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and manuals. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Characteristics
- Previous experience as an Aerospace Structures Mechanic/Technician is preferred.
- Completion of aerospace structures/aircraft sheet metal technician diploma or certificate from a recognized college or training school is good to have. Having an AME-S license is a strong asset.
