Your Opportunity at SECURE Reporting to the Senior Manager, AP & AR, the Team Lead, AP will play a key role within the Finance and Accounting team. This position will provide day-to-day leadership to the Accounts Payable team, support efficient and accurate processing, and help ensure strong service to internal stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of the accounts payable process, along with experience leading, coaching, and developing a team. A Day in The Life The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Provide leadership and expertise to the Accounts Payable Team Confirm that all transactions comply with financial policies/procedures and designed controls Ensure Vendor issues are investigated and resolved Maintain consisted weekly cheque runs and ensure accurate and timely filing of all records Provide support and assistance in an efficient and timely manner to internal stakeholders Understand the chart of accounts and ensuring coding is accurately applied Prepare AP process documentation and AP training manualsAssist with efficiency process review Support month end review and procedures Skills, Experience & Qualifications The individual in this role will have: A minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role Experience in team management Degree or Diploma in Accounting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with Open Invoice/Medius is an asset Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines Ability to handle confidential information Excellent attention to detail What's in it for you At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in. What you’ll do

Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role along with proven team management capabilities. A degree or diploma in accounting is required, complemented by strong organizational and communication skills.
