This position requires eligibility for a TN visa (i.e., Canadian citizenship) because it is located in Auburn Hills, MI. SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Mechatronics Design Release Engineer to support Steering Wheel Switch (SWS) components, with a strong focus on vehicle issue resolution, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and local plant/launch support. Responsibilities Support the design, development, validation, and release of Steering Wheel Switch (SWS) components. Review returned parts at QEC and investigate vehicle-level issues to determine root causes. Perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and engineering teams. Implement and validate corrective actions at local U.S. manufacturing plants. Provide hands-on support during vehicle builds, plant issues, and product launches. Manage engineering changes and support component validation and release activities. Collaborate with Design, Electrical, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supplier Engineering teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or related field. 3–5 years of automotive engineering experience, preferably in Design Release, Product Development, Quality, or Validation. Experience with mechatronic/electromechanical automotive components. Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills. Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D, or similar quality/problem-solving methodologies is preferred. Willingness to provide hands-on support at U.S. manufacturing plants. Requirements
