Job summary

POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, you will be writing captivating marketing content and draft collateral. You will work closely with the Marketing team to ensure they are effectively using the content to attract and retain students when it comes to SSF Services and Events. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Write compelling content (including presentations, services information, case studies, testimonials, video storyboards, social media-copy for posts as well as captions, campaign emails, web pages/ copy, etc.) and project manage content development for every semester Work closely with the marketing team and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of strategy and objectives, including proposing appropriate content and delivery methods to meet the overall objectives and the needs of the target audience Ensure your content is factually accurate, consistent with approved messaging and in the appropriate voice and format Draft and execute creative requirements requested by Manager, Marketing and Communications, including design and layout as required Manage review processes and obtain the appropriate stakeholder approvals Develop communications and enablement tactics to ensure Marketing team is aware of content and understand how and when it should be used in selling conversations and student journeys Manage and update content in relevant platforms Continuously track content engagement and success Strategically work to improve and evolve key metrics. QUALIFICATIONS Full-time student in marketing, communications, or journalism 2+ years of content marketing and/ or copywriting experience Proven track record writing and editing high-impact, professional-quality marketing content Experience writing for digital channels Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and timelines Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Excellent document formatting skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office application suite is expected) and a demonstrated flair for visual presentation. REQUIREMENTS Must be enrolled in a full-time Seneca College program for Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 semesters Must reside in Ontario Must have a valid Social Insurance Number Must have an account with a Canadian bank LEARNING OUTCOMES Through the work experience gained in this role, by the end of their term, the Content specialist will be able to: 1. Create content for multiple mediums. 2. Develop multimedia presentation skills. 3. Manage tight deadlines and deliver accurate content.
