Job summary

POSITION DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing design deliverables that elevate, differentiate, and function on-brand and on-strategy. We are looking for someone with strong creative and technical skills, who can handle multiple projects at once – seeing projects from ideation through to production. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and produce digital creative – brochures, presentations, social media posts, event material etc. Amend designs after feedback Participate in design sessions and contribute through creative concepts and creative input Be involved in conceptualization and design of graphic applications from concept to execution Create designs that are consistent with our brand guidelines Be accountable for brand consistency across campaigns and assets Work closely and collaboratively with the design and copy team to support design needs and ad-hoc requests Present design solutions to key stakeholders Be detailed in the organization of projects. This includes management of project briefs, awareness of project specs, deadlines, files, etc. QUALIFICATIONS A diverse and polished Portfolio showcasing abilities Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency in typography Knowledge of digital design process and best practices, including image optimization, responsive design Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and operate in a fast-paced work environment Open-minded and able to use constructive feedback Ability to create concepts, graphics and a wide range of layouts for use in online space Ability to prepare rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief as required Ability to reviewfinal layouts and suggest improvements as required. REQUIREMENTS Must be enrolled in a full-time Seneca College program for Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 semesters Must reside in Ontario Must have a valid Social Insurance Number Must have an account with a Canadian bank LEARNING OUTCOMES Through the work experience gained in this role, by the end of their term, the Graphic Designer will: Be well versed with the knowledge and skills necessary to create effective design solutions for interactive, print and experiential design projects. Create strong organizational skills. Prepare you to you to work as a designer in the communications industry. Project management skills. Utilise problem-solving skills and come up with creative solutions. ESSENTIAL EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS High proficiency in design, typography, business writing and marketing Interact with others in groups or teams in ways that contribute to effective working relationships and the achievement of goals Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems Interact with others in groups or teams to support effective coordination and contribute to effective working relationships and common goals Manage the use of time and other resources to complete projects. Take responsibility for one's actions, decisions, and consequences.
