The Underwriter at Sequence Capital plays a pivotal role in the fast-paced B2B mortgage origination environment, responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant funding of mortgages by collaborating with internal partners like fund managers, underwriters, and BDMs, contributing to the organization's growth and competitiveness. Responsibilities: Collaborating with the rest of the Sequence team and Fund Management to fund mortgages. On-board and prepare quotes for third-party mortgage agents and brokers. Prepare, validate, and deliver mortgage documentation to brokers and agents. Coordinate, audit, and fund mortgages. Work in tandem with a BDM partner within an assigned territory. Respond to broker inquiries in an efficient, positive, and customer-centric manner. Maintain clear and concise notes in Salesforce. Assisting with the preparation and delivery of reporting to internal and external partners. Experience & Requirements: Hold a current Mortgage Broker license in Ontario (required). Bilingual in English and French (required). At least two years of mortgage sales or underwriting support experience. A strong understanding of mortgages, property appraisals and mortgage compliance. A dynamic, positive, customer-focused individual. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and able to manage, organize and prioritize work independently. Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and able to develop/maintain documents, spreadsheets, and databases. Compensation: Competitive Compensation Package – base salary plus uncapped commission. Requirements

Candidates must hold a current Mortgage Broker license in Ontario and be bilingual in English and French. A minimum of two years of experience in mortgage sales or underwriting support is required.
