About The Role: Join our production team and help create quality mattresses customers can count on. As a Utility Sewer, you will support multiple areas of the Sewing Department by operating industrial sewing equipment, preparing materials, inspecting finished components, and helping the team meet daily production goals. This is a hands-on role for someone who values safety, quality, teamwork, and dependable attendance.What You'll Do: Operate a variety of industrial sewing equipment used in mattress production, including panel flanging, 4300, CTL, Half-Cap, label, and repair machines. Review load sheets and prioritize work based on the production and shipping schedule. Gather quilted panels, gussets, and other required materials, then organize them on load carts. Inspect quilted panels for quality and complete minor repairs as needed. Sort panel borders and stage materials for mattress assembly. Scan law tags accurately and move completed carts to the department’s finished-goods holding area. Maintain expected hourly production rates while following safety and quality standards. Keep the work area organized and assist with other production duties as assigned. What You'll Bring: Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English. Basic math skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work. Ability to learn and safely operate multiple types of production equipment. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Production or industrial sewing experience is helpful, but not required; training may be provided. Job Factors/Work Environments: Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. Perform continuous physical activity throughout the shift, including standing, lifting, bending, reaching, loading, and moving production carts. Come Dream with Us!
