Additional Benefits Include Approximate annual salary: $46,000 - $58,000 Comprehensive health, vision, and dental benefits plan including an Employee and Family Assistance Program (Available immediately) Life, travel, and other insurances Access to virtual healthcare 24/7 for FREE through the group health benefit plan RRSP program (5% employer matching) Vacation accrual (begins immediately) and travel insurance Free onsite parking Access to thousands of perks vendors and discounts through our WorkPerks program, including excellent discounts for apparel, restaurants, technology, fitness, travel, and tickets to some of your favorite sports and entertainment events Access to continuing education and training through Shannex’s Centre of Excellence Opportunities to be part of sector innovation and continuous improvement initiatives Recognition and Rewards for service excellence and safety About The Opportunity Provides leadership and oversight to all operational elements of the housekeeping department to ensure compliance to brand standards, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation Supervises, directs, and evaluates the work of the housekeeping team Oversees the full recruitment process of housekeeping team members Ensures new team members are orientated and trained on all departmental standards Oversees the process to ensure each resident has an assigned weekly housekeeping time for suite cleaning Oversees the process to ensure each resident laundry services requirements are conducted to a high standard Conducts routine Housekeeping & Laundry audits to determine compliance with Occupational Brand Standards, Health & Safety rules, and chemical safety standards Ensures overall budget objectives are met Oversees departmental spending Oversee inventory controls of the Housekeeping Department Additional duties where required About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring: Minimum of two (2) years of people leadership experience in a housekeeping setting Minimum of five (5) years of housekeeping experience in either the Hotel, Hospital, or Senior Living Industry Grade 12 or equivalent Current Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment Training in Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias

Requirements

Candidates must have at least two years of leadership experience in housekeeping and five years of experience in the hotel, hospital, or senior living industry. A high school diploma, current First Aid and CPR certification, and a clear criminal record check are required.
