Full-Stack Engineer We’re building a new transaction-driven consumer platform and are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Engineer to join our technical team. You’ll work under our engineering leadership to build, integrate, test, and maintain the systems behind a polished consumer experience. The platform will combine our own technology with specialized third-party services, so much of the work will involve building reliable integrations and ensuring information and transactions move accurately between systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who is comfortable moving between backend services, relational databases, external APIs, and React-based frontend experiences. What you'll work on: Develop backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL Build responsive consumer-facing experiences using React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind, and Radix Design and maintain relational data models, schemas, and database migrations Build secure REST APIs connecting the frontend, backend, and external platforms Integrate third-party APIs, SDKs, payment providers, identity services, and webhooks Implement customer account, authentication, balance, transaction, deposit, and withdrawal functionality Build reliable handling for retries, timeouts, duplicate events, out-of-order events, and provider outages Use database transactions, locking, isolation levels, and idempotency to protect data integrity Support transaction states involving successful and failed payments, refunds, adjustments, disputes, and withdrawals Develop internal tools supporting customer service, finance, risk, and operations Write automated tests for important product and transaction workflows Investigate production issues and work directly with external providers to resolve integration problems Contribute to deployment workflows, monitoring, documentation, and general platform reliability Communicate technical work and implementation considerations clearly to both engineers and non-engineers Our current Stack: Backend TypeScript Node.js 22 Express PostgreSQL 16 Frontend React 18 TypeScript Vite Tailwind CSS Radix UI React Router Supabase Infrastructure and Supporting Technologies Netlify Functions Docker GitHub Actions Python FastAPI You do not need experience with every technology listed, but you should be highly proficient in TypeScript and comfortable working across both backend services and React applications. What we're looking for Approximately 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience Production experience using TypeScript across backend services and React frontends Strong SQL skills and a practical understanding of relational data modelling Experience working with database transactions, isolation levels, locking, and migrations Experience designing, building, and maintaining REST APIs Experience integrating third-party APIs and webhooks in production An understanding of asynchronous integration failure modes, including retries, timeouts, duplicate events, delayed events, and out-of-order delivery Experience designing idempotent operations and protecting data consistency Experience writing automated tests for backend and frontend functionality The ability to debug issues across applications, databases, APIs, and external providers Clear written communication, particularly when explaining technical work to non-engineering stakeholders Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities and implementation details may evolve Helpful Experience in any of the following areas would be valuable: Payments, payouts, wallets, or stored balances Betting, gaming, or other transaction-heavy consumer products Transaction-ledger design Financial or operational reconciliation KYC and identity-verification integrations Chargebacks, disputes, refunds, and payment-risk workflows Python and FastAPI Supabase Serverless functions Chrome extensions

Requirements

Requires 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience with high proficiency in TypeScript, React, and SQL. Candidates must have a strong understanding of relational databases, API design, and handling asynchronous integration failure modes.
