Slot Game Developer Location: Toronto, Ontario Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for a Slot Game Developer to build, maintain, and improve online slot games. You will work closely with game designers, mathematicians, artists, animators, and producers to turn game concepts into fully functioning slot games. The role involves implementing gameplay mechanics, animations, mathematical logic, game states, integrations, and performance optimizations across multiple titles. Responsibilities Develop online slot games from concept through production. Implement core slot functionality including: Reels Symbols Wilds Scatters Free Spins Multipliers Cascades Bonus rounds Hold-and-win mechanics Collect mechanics Bonus Buy features Jackpots and other special features Integrate artwork, animations, sound, and visual effects into games. Implement game states, transitions, feature logic, and player interactions. Build reusable systems and components that can be used across multiple slot titles. Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code. Game Mathematics & Logic Work with mathematicians and game designers to implement slot mathematics accurately. Integrate paytables, probabilities, RTP models, volatility, hit frequency, and bonus logic. Ensure game behaviour matches approved mathematical models. Build or maintain tools used to test and simulate game outcomes. Identify and resolve inconsistencies between game logic and mathematical specifications. Performance & Technical Quality Optimize games for web and mobile performance. Ensure animations, assets, and game logic run smoothly across supported devices and browsers. Debug gameplay, rendering, integration, and performance issues. Write and maintain automated and manual tests where appropriate. Support QA in identifying and resolving game bugs. Improve existing game systems, tooling, and development workflows. Platform & Integration Integrate games with backend systems, APIs, wallets, game servers, and external platforms. Work with platform and backend developers to ensure reliable communication between systems. Support game launches, certification, and production releases. Troubleshoot live game issues when required. Nice to haves plus what we are looking for Strong software development experience. Experience building games, preferably online slots, casino games, or iGaming products. Strong understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript and modern web technologies. Experience with game engines, rendering frameworks, or technologies such as PixiJS, Phaser, WebGL, Canvas, or similar. Strong understanding of game state management and event-driven systems. Comfortable working with animations and game assets. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to work across multiple games simultaneously. Strong attention to detail. Previous experience developing real-money slot games. Familiarity with slot mathematics, RTP, volatility, paylines, ways-to-win, and probability models. Experience with Spine animations. Experience with PixiJS. Experience building simulation or automated game-testing tools. Experience integrating games with casino platforms or aggregators. Familiarity with major slot providers and modern slot mechanics.
