Job summary
Project-Based Launch Process Engineer Overview: Project-based with defined scope, timeline, and hours; hourly pay rate: $50.00 Assist with process launch in machining environments focusing on crankshaft machining for automotive engines Focus: rotating equipment (CNC, grinders, spindle systems) Manage run-offs, validations, and production readiness Responsibilities: Lead machine runs off (cycle time, capability, quality) Execute Run Rate, validation, and pre-production builds Support install & debug of rotating machine tools Develop processes for crankshaft machining (turning, grinding) Set/optimize feeds, speeds, cycle times Experience with carbide machining inserts and able to propose alternatives to improve quality and/or throughput Troubleshoot vibration, runout, tool wear, finish issues Drive OEE, scrap, cycle time, Cp/Cpk improvements Support PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP Partner with production, maintenance, tooling, suppliers Ensure safe operation of rotating equipment Qualifications: Experience with crankshaft manufacturing, machining, and rotating equipment Strong in process validation & capability (Cp/Cpk) Knowledge of APQP and PPAP Read GD&T and prints Strong troubleshooting skills Engineering degree or equivalent, and Crankshaft experience preferred 3–5+ yrs manufacturing and machining experience Ability to travel between the United States and Canada Candidates who require sponsorship or do not live within 50 miles will not be considered

Requirements
