About

Who we are: Simaril Inc. first became incorporated in 1986, but it wasn’t until 1987 that Simaril first opened its doors. Simaril was created as part of the Welcome Home Program which was developed to assist people living at the Manitoba Developmental Centre (MDC) in Portage La Prairie to move into their own homes in St. Vital during February of this year. All services offered by Simaril are based on the needs, strengths and accomplishments of each person being supported. Simaril currently supports to people in two areas: • Community Residential Support: this support is 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. • Supported Independent Living: this support is customized to each individual in that program and support hours are based on the requirements of each individual.
