Sinai Health is looking for an Office Assistant, Fracture Clinic to support our Department of Medicine at our Mount Sinai Hospital. The Office Assistant is an integral part of the busy, dynamic, and growing Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. In this role, you will be expected to exercise sound judgment and independence while managing the day-to-day administrative and research activities. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality customer service, applying excellent problem solving and communication skills to ensure the success of the department. In this role you will: Order and restock clinical and office supplies Answer, screen and forward telephone calls to appropriate personnel in a timely manner; take, prioritize and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel Coordinate meetings as requested, including booking rooms and coordinating catering Assist with clerical support for meetings (meeting package preparation and distribution) Manage incoming and outgoing mail Manage timesheet and payroll of all departmental administrative staff Process departmental HR required forms Process departmental invoicing Reconcile all physician and departmental cost centers, monthly secretarial expenses, and monthly office expenses Process departmental expense requisitions Assist with Annual Activity Report process Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required Job Requirements Mandatory Successful completion of a college diploma in a health-related program from an accredited educational institution 1 year of related experience Applicants with proven equivalent and related training and experience may also be considered Preferred Experience working within a clinic/health environment Educational or work experience with office administration Skills and Knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Superior organization skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks Superior work ethic, professionalism, dependability and reliability Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment and take initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries Flexible with ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking and dynamic environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and professional skills, ability to work with established team and independently Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record If this sounds like you and you feel ready to build your career within health care, apply now and let us know why you’d be a great addition to our team.
