Service Area and Mission: SLRPSI provides healthcare services to both the town of Sioux Lookout (population approximately 5,800) and 31 First Nations communities in the region Slrpsi. The organization focuses on delivering innovative, patient-focused physician services while supporting the health needs of Anishinaabe people across the area. Physician Practice Structure: GP/Family & Specialist (PEDS/IM & PSYCH) Physicians working under SLRPSI have the flexibility to work in a variety of settings, including the emergency room, clinic, and northern community supports Slrpsi. Family physicians work full scope practices, serving as ER doctors, hospitalists, and locums both within Sioux Lookout and in remote First Nations communities. There are three physician groups plus individual physicians providing services through contractual agreements.
