Experience

  1. Lead Manufacturing Engineer / Robotics Programmer

    JSC Metrovagonmash

    Jan 2020 to Present

    • Develop, program and optimize robotic manufacturing processes using KUKA and FANUC industrial robots. • Develop and implement robotic MIG/MAG arc-welding and laser-welding processes for serial production. • Apply FANUC Touch Sense, KUKA.TouchSense and KUKA TRACC TCP technologies; develop automatic part-position detection and correction solutions. • Optimize robot trajectories, process parameters and cycle times; conduct trials, debugging and validation directly on production equipment. • Diagnose and resolve technological problems; support and modernize operating robotic cells in serial production. • Participate in technical specifications, equipment selection, supplier evaluation, acceptance, commissioning and production ramp-up. • Train production operators and coordinate engineers, automation specialists, production departments and equipment suppliers. • Implemented 4 new robotic manufacturing systems from technical development through commissioning and serial production. • Implemented FANUC Touch Sense 3D part-position detection for robotic welding of metro-car body sidewalls, improving positioning accuracy and welding stability. • Reduced production cycle time by more than 30% through robot-program and process optimization. • Commissioned a second robotic laser-welding system for metro-car window-frame structures and developed programs for St. Petersburg and Minsk metro cars. • Participated in robotic welding projects for metro-car center sill/bolster structures and roof assemblies; trained 20+ operators.

  2. Lead Manufacturing Engineer / Robotics Programmer

JSC Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant (TVSZ)

    Jan 2012 to Jan 2020

    • Programmed, configured and optimized KUKA and FANUC industrial robots in high-volume manufacturing. • Developed and debugged robot programs directly on production equipment and supported serial production. • Participated in implementation, acceptance, commissioning and production launch of new robotic systems. • Optimized trajectories, robot programs and cycle times; diagnosed and resolved robotic process problems. • Participated in modernization of existing robotic cells and developed solutions to improve productivity and process stability. • Coordinated a small group of manufacturing engineers/programmers during production activities. • Hands-on applications included arc welding, laser welding, submerged arc welding, plasma cutting, bending, grinding, trimming, rolling and shot blasting. • Participated in implementation of 100+ industrial robots across 40 robotic manufacturing systems.
