THE OPPORTUNITY We are recruiting for a Temporary Full Time Employment Consultant. Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, this role is a vital part of our Employment Services Team supporting job seekers and employers. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Develop employment opportunities for clients * Provide employment and training needs assessment and case management * Develop Service Plans * Provide instruction, individual support and advocacy * Facilitate workshops * Complete reporting requirements * Collaborate with local training providers * Work with local employers to provide placements * Monitor client’s employment retention for 365 days WHAT YOU’LL BRING * Have a College Diploma in a Human/Social Services or Business field, with a Career Practitioner/Job Development certificate an asset * Have a minimum 1-year experience in a related field * Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases * Access to reliable transportation, as some travel may be required * Ability to manage exposure to vicarious traumatic stress WHY JOIN SOAR? • Salary: Starting at $24.25 per hour. • Benefits: Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) for staff and their families. • Time off: 60 hours of personal leave, and 15 hours of wellness time (pro-rated first year). • RSP/TFSA matching for eligible staff. • A supportive, values-driven workplace that prioritizes your well-being.
