THE OPPORTUNITY We are recruiting for a Full Time Nurse Practitioner. This role is a vital part of our Withdrawal Management and Treatment Services Team, supporting individuals in acute withdrawal and those in our 5-week treatment program. Working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, you’ll assess, treat, and support individuals on their recovery journey while helping shape best practices and strengthen care across the system. This position includes a unique opportunity to support client transition back to the community through follow up at the RAAM (Rapid Access Addictions Medicine). This role is ideal for a Nurse Practitioner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and client-centred practice. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Complete comprehensive mental health, addictions, and physical assessments * Develop and adjust individualized care and treatment plans * Prescribe and manage medications, including OAT * Monitor withdrawal and medication response * Conduct medical intakes for bed-based treatment * Complete risk assessments and respond appropriately * Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (RAAM, hospitals, pharmacy) * Support care transitions and continuity planning * Provide clinical leadership, coaching, and guidance to staff * Contribute to program development and best practices * Stay current with evidence-based practice WHAT YOU’LL BRING Required: * NP (Extended Class) in good standing with the CNO * Bachelor of Nursing + Nurse Practitioner designation * Strong assessment, prescribing, and clinical decision-making skills * Knowledge of CNO standards and reflective practice * Current BCLS/CPR and required liability insurance * Reliable transportation * Resilience in high-impact, trauma-exposed environments Assets: * Experience in mental health, addictions, or concurrent disorders * Knowledge of addiction medicine, OAT, and harm reduction * Trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approach * Controlled substances prescribing education * Membership in NPAO/RNAO or CPMHN certification * Familiarity with relevant legislation (Mental Health Act, PHIPA) WHY JOIN SOAR? • Salary: Starting at $115,616.00 annually. • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and travel insurance, with options fully paid for Full Time staff. • Time off: 3 weeks’ vacation, 60 hours of personal leave, and 15 hours of wellness time (pro-rated first year). • CNO fee reimbursement. • Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) for staff and their families. • RSP/TFSA matching for eligible staff. • A supportive, values-driven workplace that prioritizes your well-being. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Nurse Practitioner (Extended Class) designation in good standing with the CNO and possess a Bachelor of Nursing degree. Strong clinical decision-making skills and experience in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practice are required.
