The Support Services Area Leader is responsible for consistently delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role supports the Store Leader in overseeing store management activities to maximize results. In partnership with the Store Leader, the Support Services Area Leader establishes objectives, clearly communicates expectations to the management team, drives team engagement, and helps ensure consistency in people management practices. Here’s how you’ll make an impact: Lead and manage all Support Services functions to achieve sales, profit, and labour objectives. Provide strategic direction and vision for the Support Services function. Take ownership of sales forecasts and weekly plans for the Support Services team and ensure they are kept up to date. Partner with the Store Leader to support and implement the Support Services strategy, including onboarding, training, teammate engagement, record management, HR program initiatives, and the ongoing development of the Service department. Review and ensure the completion of transfers between departments and monitor weekly expenses to support department profitability. Implement loss prevention strategies to help reduce theft and shrink. Facilitate the sharing of product and service knowledge with Support Services teammates and other store departments to help them better respond to customer questions. Share knowledge of Support Services and the products and services offered across other departments, answer customer questions, and help customers make informed choices. Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of Support Services products and services, along with a general understanding of products and services offered throughout the store, to effectively support customer needs. Take responsibility for training and onboarding team members, ensuring they feel supported and empowered to perform their roles to expected standards, including coaching and motivating teammates through change. Support the Support Services management team in training their teammates. Identify development opportunities for Support Services teammates, both within and across teams. Strong coaching and mentoring skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
