This position is hybrid (3 days per week in person) and will be based out of our Stellarton Corporate Office on King street Here’s Where You’ll Be Focusing Accurately prepare and post entries and account for transactions in the general ledger. Prepare and review working papers that support account balances, investigate errors, and facilitate correction. Complete period-end close processes, controls, and procedures. Review and update the detailed schedules for financial statement note disclosure purpose. Prepare and explain balance sheet variances with comparative periods. Ensure compliance with CEO/CFO Certification requirements. Participate in the internal and external audit requests. Collaborate with various stakeholders to support and guide them with proper recommendation in accordance with accounting standard IFRS. Process improvement mindset, propose innovated ideas. Prepare various analytical and ad-hoc reports What You Have To Offer University Degree 1-2+ years of accounting related experience Accounting Designation CPA (or in the process of obtaining) would be an asset Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel) Knowledge of accounting standard IFRS Strong communication skills (Both oral and written) Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
