AM Shift - General Labourer (Brampton)

Shift Time Day shift 5:00AM - 2:00PM What we have to offer $22.32 /hour to start - $23.56 /hour after 6 months - $24.80/ hour after 1 year Annual Increases based on Collective Bargaining Agreement $1000 referral bonus for each successful referral Job Description Take an active role in changeover procedures and achieve line speed efficiencies Visual quality checks of product against customer and internal specifications (including foreign materials and weight checks) Ability to maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility Adhere to individual Product Standard Operating Procedures for components and packaging material Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with Health and Safety requirements Pack various meat products into trays/boxes Operate slicing machine and weight scale, if necessary Complete all checklists correctly in a timely manner Pushing & pulling of skids and racks Palletizing Other duties as required/assigned Requirements: Experience within a food manufacturing environment Good communication skills, both written and spoken English Attention to detail with basic computer skills and strong leadership skills Capable of lifting 25kg Require to stand for 8 hours with some lifting and bending Ability to follow and execute instructions given by Managers/Supervisors Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment Work in conditions under 10˚C Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week Who We Are: Sofina Foods is one of Canada's leading manufacturers of primary and further processed protein products for retail and foodservice customers as well as international markets. Perform general labor tasks including packing meat products, operating slicing machines, and conducting visual quality checks. Maintain area cleanliness and adhere to safety and product standard operating procedures.

Requires experience in food manufacturing and the ability to lift 25kg while standing for 8 hours in cold conditions. Candidates must have good English communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
