Job summary

Kitchener, Ontario – Hybrid Hearing Performance Developer Join Sonova Canada as a Hearing Performance Developer and help ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of innovative hearing instruments. In this role, you will research, design, develop, and maintain hearing-performance tests and supporting test infrastructure. You will evaluate audiological performance, feature functionality, and sensor performance while collaborating with project management and R&D software teams throughout product development and verification. Responsibilities: • Take ownership of assigned projects and provide clear progress and completion updates to the Hearing Performance Team Lead and senior developers. • Plan and execute product system verification activities, assessing hearing and audiological performance, feature functionality, and sensor performance. • Provide test-management support and prepare verification documentation required for product submissions and market release. • Develop test cases for new product features and adapt existing test cases for new product variations. • Create, enhance, and maintain testware, including test infrastructure, testing frameworks, test cases, tools, and agents. • Review product specifications, analyze verification requirements, and provide feedback to development teams in collaboration with Hearing Performance developers. • Provide technical support to project management and R&D software engineers and perform other related duties as assigned. More about you: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. • Hands-on programming experience with MATLAB and familiarity with Python and C#. • General understanding of acoustics, analog and digital electronics, and test-software development. • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from a variety of technical, professional, and educational backgrounds. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools. • Professional fluency in English. • Previous experience in an engineering or product-development position is considered an asset. • An interest in audio, music, or audio recording is considered an asset. • Ability to travel occasionally as required. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
