Analyze requirements and user stories, prepare and review test scenarios and cases, and coordinate test environment and data setup. Execute manual tests, report and track defects with the project team, share execution reports, and support test closure by maintaining regression suites and preparing test documentation.

Position: QA Analyst Location: Toronto, Downtown (Hybrid) Type: Contract Key Skills: Hands on experience with QA process and methodology experience Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Defect Life Cycle Strong understanding of end to end QA process ServiceNow ITSM testing experience (ITSM is preferred ) Experience in Test execution, defect management and QA support activities Tools: Jira, Confluence and HPALM or similar test management tools Tasks Manual QA Role Requirement Analysis 1. Analyze Requirements/User Stories to understand Application under test 2. Test Case Identification (New and Regression) Test Preparation 1. Create Test Scenarios/Test Cases 2. Review & Sign Off Test Scenarios with Project team 3. Work with project team for Test Environment Set Up 4. Work with project team/developer for Test Data Set Up 5. QA Tools - HP-ALM, Jira/Confluence Set Up (Test Cases, Defects) Test Execution 1. Test Execution 2. During execution, if defect is found report and work with team/developer to fix the issue 3. Create and share Execution and Defects Report to management and project team Test Closure 1. Identify Regression Test Cases and add to Regression Suite 2. Create Test Plan/Agile Test Summary document

Requirements

Requires hands-on experience with QA processes and methodologies, a strong understanding of the software development and defect life cycles, and experience across end-to-end QA activities. ServiceNow ITSM testing is preferred, along with experience in test execution, defect management, QA support, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and HP ALM or similar test management software.
