Role: Azure Solution Architect Hybrid: 2 day a week in office in Toronto Contract Duration: 6 months We are looking for an experienced Azure Solution Architect to support the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. Key Responsibilities • Design end-to-end solution architectures for cloud-native and hybrid applications. • Define application, integration, data, and infrastructure architectures. • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to delivery teams. • Design secure, scalable, and resilient solutions using Azure services. • Collaborate with business, development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendor teams. • Support architecture governance, design reviews, and technology evaluations. Required Skills & Experience • 10+ years of IT experience with strong solution architecture experience. • 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience. • Strong knowledge of: o Azure App Services o Azure API Management (APIM) o Azure Functions • Experience with: o REST APIs o Microservices Architecture o Event-Driven Architecture o Integration Patterns o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep) • Strong understanding of: o Microsoft Entra ID o OAuth2/OIDC o RBAC o Enterprise Security and Governance Preferred Skills • Azure AI Foundry exposure • Azure API Management • Databricks • Mobile and Web Application Architecture • TOGAF or Azure Solution Architect Certification Key Competencies • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Technical leadership and mentoring • Architecture governance and design reviews • Problem-solving and decision-making Ability to work across multiple teams and initiatives

Requirements

Candidates must have 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure expertise. Proficiency in infrastructure as code, integration patterns, and enterprise security governance is required.
