POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused professional to support counter sales in a high-traffic, fast-paced branch environment. This role plays a key part in delivering prompt service to walk-in customers, processing orders and inquiries efficiently, and collaborating with the branch team to ensure smooth operations and a strong customer experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Greet and assist walk-in customers at the counter, providing prompt and professional service Respond to customer product inquiries in person, as well as via phone and email to support branch sales Assess customer needs on the spot and recommend appropriate products and solutions Provide pricing, availability, and alternative product options when required Process sales transactions, quotes, special orders, and returns accurately Communicate order status, shipment details, and delivery timelines Work with warehouse staff and vendors to ensure timely order fulfillment Increase sales through cross-selling, upselling, and promotions Build strong relationships with repeat and new customers Help maintain an organized, stocked, and professional counter area Support inventory counts and maintain accurate system information Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional branch presence Perform other branch and counter-related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Though not required, preference will be given to individuals with Counter Sales experience working in Safety, Industrial, or related environment(s) Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude Clear and effective communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Solid problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy Honest, dependable, and punctual with a proactive work ethic Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Capable of following written instructions, safety procedures, and documented processes Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel), and ERP/order entry systems In accordance with the provincial wage transparency requirements, the expected base compensation for this position is between $41,600 and $45,700 or more, depending on relevant experience, technical competencies, certifications, etc. In addition, all permanent & full-time associates are eligible for additional benefits, including but not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD/AD&D, Life Insurance, RRSP Matching, Pro-rated Vacation Entitlement, Paid Statutory Holidays, Employee Assistance, etc. Unveiling Your Perks: Secure your place in our dynamic, permanent team, where long-term growth meets everyday impact.
