Job summary
What You’ll Do Leadership & Culture Serve as the on-site HSE leader and trusted advisor to leaders and employees Champion a proactive safety culture focused on hazard prevention Support leaders in driving accountability for safety performance Program Management & Improvement Implement and sustain HSE programs and systems Analyze trends and drive targeted improvement initiatives Lead site-level safety initiatives aligned with company goals Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with Alberta OHS and environmental regulations Maintain documentation and complete required reporting Act as the site contact for inspections and regulatory agencies Incident & Risk Management Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis Track trends and implement corrective actions Oversee site inspections, audits, and hazard mitigation Training & Engagement Ensure proper onboarding and ongoing HSE training Lead safety meetings and promote workforce engagement Collaboration Work cross-site with U.S. operations to align best practices Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives What You Bring Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of HSE experience in industrial, mining, or heavy operations, preferred Site-based leadership experience strongly preferred Knowledge & Skills Strong knowledge of Alberta safety and environmental regulations Experience with incident investigations and safety systems Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license Ability to travel occasionally CRSP or similar certification is an asset Work Environment Combination of office and industrial site environment Exposure to outdoor conditions, equipment, and physical activity Must be able to meet physical demands of the role Why Join Source Energy Services?
