Southbridge Health Care LP owns and operates several long-term care and retirement Homes throughout many urban and rural areas of Ontario. We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist for the Ottawa area. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, building strong talent pipelines, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. The TA Specialist will identify top talent and align recruitment strategies with organizational goals. This role is remote with an expectation to attend and participate in career fairs to promote the company and recruit talent. The position requires reliable internet access and the ability to participate in video calls and team collaboration tools. Responsibilities: Create and implement tailored recruitment plans to meet the unique staffing needs of each business unit. Engage in proactive, multi-channel talent sourcing through job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach to create a strong, diverse talent pipeline. Write, post, and promote compelling job descriptions that highlight our organization’s brand. Review and screen applications, conduct initial phone screenings, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers to ensure smooth interview processes. Assist in evaluating candidates by providing hiring managers with insights and feedback on candidate fit and potential. Coordinate pre-employment steps, such as reference checks and background screenings (when required), to maintain compliance and ensure high standards in hiring. Prepare and deliver offer letters and employment agreements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Guide candidates through the recruitment process, maintaining transparent, timely, and supportive communication. Map and refine the candidate journey, implementing strategies to deliver an outstanding recruitment experience. Ensure all new hires receive the necessary information and resources to facilitate a successful transition into their roles. Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment activities. Monitor and assess recruitment performance metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, and retention rates, using data to improve recruitment practices. Represent our organization at job fairs, industry events, and community outreach programs to promote our brand and recruit talent. Partner with diverse organizations and professional groups to foster relationships that support and broaden our talent pipeline. Drive initiatives to enhance organizational appeal through strategic marketing, digital presence, and by highlighting our unique culture, benefits, and career growth opportunities. Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, with a focus on recruitment is preferred A minimum of one year of experience recruiting front line staff in a fast-paced unionized environment is required Proficiency in both English and French is an asset High-level of integrity, diplomacy and tact, with an ability to always maintain confidentiality A focus on delivering quality service to our homes hiring manager's regarding recruitment support Excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to juggle multiple demands – you thrive in an ever-changing environment Strong customer service orientation and servant leadership skills A ‘can-do’ attitude to tackle any project in front of you Strong organizational skills and high degree of detail orientation Excellent communicator (oral and written) and able to interact with a diverse audience Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team We would like to thank all applicants for your interest in working as part of our team!
