Senior Content Designer – UX Designer (Plain language expertise) Position: Senior Content Designer Location: Toronto, Ontario – Hybrid (4 days onsite) Duration: October 14, 2026 – October 13, 2027 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Travel: None Job Description Summary We are seeking a Senior Content Designer to deliver content experiences across multiple digital projects. The successful candidate will create, evaluate, and refine content for tools, applications, prototypes, websites, and other digital experiences. This role requires strong writing and editing skills, expertise in plain language and accessibility, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Conceptualize, design, and execute near-term and future-state cross-channel content experiences. Create clear, concise, and user-centered content for digital products, applications, tools, prototypes, and websites. Write, edit, proofread, and refine content to meet customer and business needs. Apply plain language principles to improve clarity, usability, and customer experience. Develop content that complies with WCAG and accessibility requirements. Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including product ideation, user research, feature planning, content design, post-launch evaluation, and stakeholder communication. Collaborate with Experience Design Leads, Product Owners, Engineers, Tech Leads, and other stakeholders to develop effective customer solutions. Participate in ideation sessions and apply design-thinking and user-centered design methodologies. Ensure content aligns with business priorities and applicable internal and external requirements. Support regulatory and compliance-related content reviews and approvals. Identify risks and provide content design guidance for complex situations. Participate in cross-functional and enterprise initiatives as a content design subject matter expert. Support the development and delivery of presentations and communications for management and broader audiences. Independently manage content-related tasks and projects from concept through delivery. Exercise sound judgment when handling confidential information and escalate issues appropriately. Ensure work complies with applicable organizational policies, controls, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications 3–5 years of professional experience, preferably in digital, conversation, or content design. 3+ years of experience with plain language expertise. 3+ years of strong writing and editing experience. 3+ years of experience creating WCAG/accessibility-compliant content. 3+ years of experience obtaining or supporting regulatory approvals. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional product and design teams. Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies. Ability to independently manage tasks and projects from end to end. Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the financial services industry. Experience working on public-facing websites.
