Job summary
Studio Squido is looking for a Unity Programmer to join our team of 40 people specializing in the development of virtual and mixed reality (VR/MR) video games. This position will primarily focus on gameplay and systems development for a VR game. Responsibilities Develop gameplay and systems features in Unity adapted for VR that meet the project's requirements with a "gameplay first" approach. Develop optimized features taking into consideration the pillars of our game, including the technical capacity of the headset (Quest 2-3) and multiplayer. Carefully plan and document code architecture to facilitate its maintenance and team development. Collaborate with artists, game designers, and project managers to design and prototype features. Continuously present your learnings, technical problems, ideas, improvements, and optimizations to the rest of the team. Required Skills At least 2 years of experience in video game development on Unity. At least 1 year of experience in multiplayer games Keen sense of gameplay and parameters for a good user experience. Advanced experience in C# programming. Skills in debugging, optimization, and performance profiling. Excellent ability to solve complex problems. Team spirit and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English. VR experience is a plus. Experience with live-ops games is a plus. Working Conditions Salary between $60k and $90k depending on experience. 100% remote work, possibility of coworking in Montreal and in-person team meetings. Full-time. Truly flexible schedule. 3 weeks of vacation + 1 week at Christmas. Group insurance. Creative freedom and autonomy.
