The Dietary Aide is responsible for performing a full range of duties within the Patient Food Services and Hospitality departments. This includes working efficiently with staff and patients while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining high standards of service.

Qualifications Certification in a Public Health endorsed Food Handling Course required. Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of the Food Service Worker community college program preferred. Previous experience in a hospital or commercial food services preferred. Good English communication skills, both verbal and written. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with staff, customers and patients. Must have attention to detail and problem-solving skills and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Required to work in all areas of the Department (Patient Food Services and Hospitality) as needed. Able to perform the FULL range of duties as required in this position including some lifting of weight (up to 40 lbs). Satisfactory attendance record. Shift Details Must be available to work 3 shifts Mon- Fri and 3 out of 4 weekends Unity Health Toronto is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive organization. Requirements

Candidates must possess a Public Health endorsed Food Handling certification and a Secondary School Diploma. Previous experience in hospital or commercial food services and completion of a Food Service Worker program are considered strong assets.
