St Laurence Anglican Church

St Laurence Anglican Church is an inclusive Anglican parish in Coquitlam, serving the wider Tri‑Cities region. We are seeking to live the way of Jesus in worship, community, and service, bringing together people of many ages, backgrounds, and experiences to explore Christian faith in grounded, accessible ways. Our life together is rooted in the worship of the Triune God, shaped by Anglican liturgy and scripture, and open to honest questions and doubt. We value thoughtful preaching, shared prayer, and practices that help people connect faith with everyday life, whether they are long‑time Anglicans, newcomers, or returning after time away from church. Hospitality and belonging are central to our identity. We aim to be a robustly inclusive parish where 2SLGBTQ+ people, neurodivergent folks, families, singles, elders, and young adults can fully participate in the worshipping community. We take safeguarding seriously and seek to create spaces that are emotionally, spiritually, and physically safe for all. St Laurence is also committed to serving the wider community. We partner with local organisations to support the flourishing of children, families, and vulnerable people in the Tri‑Cities. Our ministries and partnerships evolve as we listen to our neighbourhoods and discern how best to respond to local needs. We are part of the Anglican Diocese of New Westminster, collaborating in its mission and governance. Our clergy, staff, and lay leaders work together in planning, pastoral care, worship, and strategy, rooted in transparent decision‑making and healthy structures.
