Stafingo is hiring for an Intermediate Legal Administrative Assistant / Appeals Assistant for their public sector client in Alberta!! Intermediate Legal Administrative Assistant / Appeals Assistant Location: Edmonton, AB – Onsite Start Date: November 2nd, 2026 End Date: April 30th, 2027 Contract Extension: Up to 12 months Openings: Up to 4 resources | 2 contracts expected Pay Range: $30–$35/hour (depending on skills and experience) About the Role : Stafingo is looking for experienced Intermediate Legal Administrative Assistants / Appeals Assistants to provide administrative, hearing, stakeholder and application support within a public-sector environment. The successful candidates will support hearing activities, manage documentation and correspondence, assist internal and external stakeholders, maintain accurate records and statuses, and help ensure decisions and related documentation are accurate and publication-ready. Key Responsibilities: ▪ Support Appeals Officers with correspondence, documentation and appeal packages ▪ Prepare document indexes and maintain accurate appeal files ▪ Coordinate hearing logistics, including video/teleconference arrangements ▪ Support participants during hearings and troubleshoot technical/process issues ▪ Respond professionally to stakeholder inquiries and concerns ▪ Maintain accurate system statuses and ensure timelines are met ▪ Format, proofread and prepare decision documents for distribution ▪ Maintain documentation, records and process information ▪ Provide application/help desk support and assist with troubleshooting ▪ Identify operational improvements and recommend process enhancements ▪ Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve issues Must-Have Qualifications: ▪ High School Diploma/GED ▪ 2+ years of relevant administrative/legal support experience ▪ 2+ years using Microsoft Office Suite ▪ 2+ years working in a fast-paced environment involving troubleshooting and problem-solving ▪ Strong verbal and written communication skills ▪ Excellent organization, prioritization and attention to detail ▪ Experience working with clients/stakeholders to gather, document and analyze business/process requirements ▪ Experience coordinating with business/technical teams and managing stakeholder relationships ▪ Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Nice to Have: ▪ Post-secondary education in Office Administration or a related field ▪ Experience with information governance, records management or information management ▪ Knowledge of privacy, security and access-to-information requirements ▪ Experience with Government of Alberta, 1GX or comparable Canadian public-sector environments ▪ Experience working with workers' compensation/WCB systems Interested?
