About The Role As a Solutions Consultant, you’ll act as a trusted technical advisor operating at the intersection of Sales, Customer Experience, and Product Management. You’ll partner with Account Executives to demonstrate to prospects how Occupier supports key Lease Management and Lease Accounting workflows. You’ll lead new customers through onboarding into our Lease Accounting solution, leveraging your Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to configure customer accounts, facilitate training sessions, and support adoption. You’ll partner with Product Management & Engineering to provide insights supporting product innovation and get ahead of new functionality coming down the pike. This is a role for a sharp technical accountant who thinks critically, enjoys solving problems, communicates well with customers, and can pick up new accounting standards quickly. Deep lease accounting knowledge is a plus, but not a prerequisite; if you understand accounting fundamentals well and like untangling complex problems, you can succeed here. Your Responsibilities “Presales” Solution Consulting (60%) A core part of this role is helping the go-to-market team win. You’ll be the technical and operational voice in the room during the sales cycle; the person prospects trust to answer the hard questions and confirm that Occupier can genuinely handle their portfolio. Specifically You Will: Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle; joining discovery calls and demos as the Accounting and operations Subject Matter Expert Lead product demonstrations for prospects; tailoring the walkthrough to each buyer’s portfolio, workflows, and accounting requirements Give prospects confidence that Occupier is the right solution; speaking credibly to lease accounting standards, month-end close, audit readiness, and how the platform maps to their operational needs Field technical and accounting questions during the sales process; addressing objections, and translating complex requirements into clear explanations for both finance and non-finance stakeholders Assess prospective customers’ operational needs and lease portfolios to confirm fit; scoping onboarding requirements and managing customer expectations accordingly Serve as the bridge between Sales and Customer Experience; ensuring a smooth handoff into onboarding such that commitments made during the sales process carry through to a successful implementation Customer Onboarding & Adoption (30%) A secondary focus of this role is supporting new customers to successfully adopt Occupier. Specifically You Will: Lead new customers to implement Occupier’s Accounting module; configuring accounts, facilitating training sessions, and providing guidance on best practices Provide ad-hoc support during initial product adoption and continued use; responding to questions from customers and auditors about how the product supports ASC 842, IFRS 16 , FRS 102 compliance Produce assets that support “everboarding”; creating resource guides and how-to documentation to ensure a consistent experience across a growing client base Contribute to thought leadership; leading webinars, capturing customer stories, and producing technical content as required Continuous Improvement & Operational Support (10%) All roles at Occupier act as catalysts helping to accelerate the continuous improvement of our product and processes. As a Solution Consultant, You Will: Partner with Product Management and Engineering; surfacing insight from prospect and customer engagements and translate insights into ideas for innovation Identify operational gaps and help to close them; developing standardized processes, policies, and best practices that support Occupier's continued growth Onboard new team members; providing product and accounting-specific Subject Matter Expertise to help new hires better understand our solutions and the problems they solve Who you Are To be successful in this role, you’ll need to possess: A CPA designation (or have equivalent experience), with strong technical accounting fundamentals Experience in public accounting, audit, or a corporate accounting role Experience working at fast-growth Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment in a presales or consulting capacity Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex accounting concepts to non-accounting audiences and speak credibly in front of prospects and customers Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; the ability to reason through unfamiliar accounting scenarios and arrive at sound, practical answers Strong Project Management and organizational skills, with comfort in a fast-paced, scaling environment Comfort in customer- and prospect-facing settings, including demos and sales conversations with the confidence to build trust and address objections in real time (preferred, but not required) Working knowledge of lease accounting standards (ASC 842, IFRS 16, FRS 102, GASB 87 & 96) (preferred, but not required) Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) Why join us? Requirements
