Position Summary Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our machining team. The successful candidate will safely operate CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality precision components while maintaining our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain CNC lathes and milling machines. Verify finished parts meet dimensional specifications. Identify and report non-conforming parts. Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints. Ensure machine centers, tooling, fixtures, and precision measuring equipment are maintained and in proper working condition. Fit and assemble machined metal components and subassemblies using hand and power tools as required. Accurately complete work package documentation to ensure product traceability. Perform routine daily inspections, care, and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd.'s Lean Manufacturing program. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safe work practices. Available Shifts Monday to Thursday: Four 10-hour shifts. Day and Evening shifts available. Weekend Shift Friday to Sunday. Three 12-hour shifts. Employment Requirements Minimum of two (2) years of CNC machining experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in machining or a related trade is considered an asset. Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
