Your Opportunity The Stantec Geotechnical Group in Winnipeg, MB is seeking three (3) Materials Testing Technicians/Technologists to join our materials testing team. This position will act as support to both our field and laboratory operations in construction materials testing and inspection services. In this role, you will interact with suppliers, producers, contractors, consultants, and owners from the private and public sectors. Your Key Responsibilities * Perform construction materials testing & inspection services on concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soils in field and laboratory settings, including but not limited to: * Concrete field testing * Compaction testing of soil, aggregate, and asphalt pavement * Laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, asphalt, and hardened concrete * Geotechnical inspections such as pile monitoring, subgrade, and proof roll inspections * Obtaining core samples from concrete structures and asphalt pavement * Resilient floor testing * Forensic investigation of concrete structures * Operating and maintaining moisture-density gauges (class 7 radioactive dangerous good) * Mobilize to worksite in a fleet vehicle * Preparation of field and laboratory test reports The successful candidate will join our group of over 25 professionals. They will receive mentorship and training from our team of experienced technologists and engineers. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Requirements

Requires a technician/technologist diploma from a recognized college and at least one year of experience in materials testing. Candidates must hold or be eligible for CTTAM certification and possess a valid class 5 driver's license.
